The Repair Process - What to Expect:
1. Estimate – In the Damage Report process area, you vehicle will be inspected and any relevant data is entered into the report which determines the cost of repairs.
2. Insurance Approval – After the Report is complete, the insurance company will review it. After they determine if the vehicle is repairable, the repair process will begin. 3. Disassembly – hidden damage is sometimes found and any inner structure repairs are determined. 4. Order Parts – The required parts for your vehicle are then ordered and availability is checked. When a part must be special ordered, that will be done immediately. 5. Structural Assessment - A computer-based measurement system is used to analyze the needed structural repair. This assures you receive an accurate repair. The body is now repairs to exact factory specifications. 6. Body Repair – The Metal Repair Department will replace all exterior panels and metal finished that is required. Sheet metal is then installed and aligned to exact specifications. 7. Refinish / Paint – Expert preparation is a critical step in the refinishing process. All panels are prepared for refinishing, then primed and sealed to assure good adhesion when the final top color and clear coats are applied. 8. Reassembly – The final moldings and detail pieces are attached to your vehicle in the reassembly area. All the vehicle’s systems are double checked during this process. 9. Detailing – The final repair process includes a thorough cleaning. Vacuum and wipe down from all the dust is concluded and your car will be road tested to ensure everything is working property.
